Head of School of Business

Job description

• Responsible for the strategic and operational management of the School of Business
• Manage the development of new programmes
• Delivery & teaching of programmes
• Development of materials
• Staffing of existing programmes and new programmes
• Lead and direct the team, including managing activities of academic coordinator & overseeing
  lecturers’ performance
• Review teaching methods and provide coaching/mentoring to the lecturers.
• Demonstrates a strong grasp of subject matter and communicates effectively
• Responsible for student matters, student induction, student learning, co-curriculum activities,
  exam preparation and student passing / satisfaction rate
• Quality assurance including CPE compliance
• Plans and manages finances necessary for the department to execute its duties
• Any other duties assigned by the Acting Director of Studies or CEO
• Maintain good working relationship with all stake holders including University Partners and
  Industry Members who has connection within School of Business

Job Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Doctorate (PhD) in Business, Education or equivalent. PhD
  candidates who are interested may also apply. Or Masters
• At least 5 years of working experience in PEI is required for this position or will be an added
  advantage?
• Teaching and material development experience
• Knowledge of CPE requirements
• Experience in either managing or as a deputy in an academic department
• Experience in managing academic team
