The ACCA Corporate and Business Law paper will help you understand the legal framework behind the field of business and will help learners recognise the need for corporate legal advice.
Exam Structure
This exam is divided into 2 sections – A and B. Section A is made up of 45 multiple-choice questions and Section B is formed of 5 multi-task questions worth 6 marks each.
Paper syllabus
The syllabus for this paper is divided into 8 sections and starts with an introduction to the Singaporean legal system, including how the court systems works and sources of law. You will then learn about contract and tort law – the basis of business transactions.
Learners will then be taught about various laws that focus on business, employment and the formation and constitution of organisations, different types of capital, management, the regulation and administration of firms as well as insolvency law.
The final part of the module will focus on fraudulent and criminal behaviour within the corporate world.
Daytime sessions run between 9.45am-1.15pm.
Afternoon sessions run between 2.00pm-5.30pm.
Evening sessions run between 6.45pm-10.15pm.
It’s up to you whether you attend the course on-campus or choose to study online. Either way , we guarantee, you’ll have an excellent student experience.
